Chakras are energy points within the body, each corresponding to different aspects of our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. We have seven chakras. Each one, when activated, may improve health and create an instant feeling of calm. Giving attention to your heart chakra is a great starting point.

Compassion Source
The heart chakra is located in the center of the chest, near the heart. All things love, compassion, forgiveness, empathy, and acceptance are controlled here in your heart.
The heart chakra allows us to experience interconnectedness of all things in the world around us. Whether you enjoy a quiet walk outside and listen to the birds, or your everyday encounters with people; when this chakra is open, there is a feeling of fluidity with all of your interactions.

Balanced Heart Chakra
When this chakra is balanced and open you’ll experience emotional balance within. As a result you will feel connected to others, and feel a connection to the world around you. Synchronicitities may become more apparent in your day to day activities. Pay attention to these, as they serve as little reminders from the universe that all is well.
A balanced heart chakra allows you to easily feel empathy and understanding towards others, which in turn allows you to forgive easier. This chakra governs our ability to give and receive love.

Signs of Imbalance or Blockage
Imbalances in the heart chakra can manifest as issues with relationships, lack of empathy, feelings of isolation, jealousy, or resentment. If you find yourself in a place where you are thinking negatively about yourself or others, you could have a block in your heart chakra.
Physical Ailments
When negative emotions are stored in the body there can be a physical effect on your physical body. Having an imbalance in this chakra can lead to respiratory issues, heart problems, and immune system disorders. You may also find yourself more easily irritated by others when you have an imbalance in your heart chakra.
