To say I love my pup is an understatement. If you’re like me, you are going to feed your pup the best. Dogs are with you through thick and thin. Bringing you warmth on cold nights and comfort when a hug is needed. And they need you too. Like us, dogs need love, comfort, security, mental stimulation, and good food. Dogs need a high protein diet. Aside from serving straight up protein, vegetables and rice are good accompaniments. This doesn’t mean that you have to cook fresh for your dog, although if you have the time and the means, why wouldn’t you? But for the rest of us, being mindful of what you are serving is all you have to do.

What to look for when feeding your pup the best –

Check the label on the kibble;

• the first ingredient should be some sort of meat; beef, lamb, turkey, chicken
• include sweet potato, peas, rice, or grains; these will give your dog energy
• have vegetables, maybe some fruit too
